CEDaR and The Colorado Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU Colorado) will be co-hosting “Community Building Colorado-Style: Making Creative, Smart and Engaged Places,” a conference that connects leadership from neighborhoods, small towns and cities with CU Boulder’s cutting-edge research from environmental design and sciences.

The conference will explore Colorado-style community-building, including engaging communities with diverse economies and entrepreneurial ecosystems, as well as incorporating innovative ideas for efficient infrastructure, sustainable urbanism and smart decision-making into planning and design.

Panels and workshops will focus on innovative place-making, management of catalyst projects, affordable housing, design of green infrastructures and food systems, engagement with children and youth, experience of creative districts and more. The conference will be held at the Sustainability, Energy, and Environment Complex (SEEC), 4001 Discovery Dr. at CU Boulder.
