Boulder Valley Waldorf School and the Boulder County Farmer’s Markets in collaboration and cooperation are pleased to announce a 2017 Summer Farm Dinner Series. The series will feature local Boulder County organic farms and local chefs in a true farm-to-dinner community experience. The series is designed to facilitate community and connection among Boulder County families from all backgrounds and municipalities. The idea was to re-create a community farm table celebration that included families and children and allowed everyone to relax and enjoy the bounty of the county with friends – both old and new.
The event will be hosted by Boulder Valley Waldorf School and will include a children’s menu and activities. The activities will be within a farm-inspired theme and will be directed by Katrina Pratt and Audra Brandt -co-founders of Storycamp, LLC. Local farmers will be featured at the dinners and will give short talks about their produce and their farming inspiration and techniques. The series kicks off on June 24th with a Solstice themed celebration including storytellers, music and other activities and featuring appetizers. The first dinner will be July 22nd and will start at 5 with seating at 6 and community and activities until 9 pm. The full schedule of farms will be posted shortly. The dinner dates are listed below.
Food will be prepared by Matt Collier of Seeds Library Cafe with local produce from a different featured farm every month. These dinners are Bring Your Own Alcohol events.
