We should plant trees. That is our environmental obligation. But if the tree is in our yard, we may have all the right to cut it for the following reasons.
When the Tree Has Become a Hazard
A tree in our yard is undoudtedly a hazard when it has overgrown its size, has aged, and has its branches over our roof. When a strong storm comes, we don’t know if it can withstand it, or it can be uprooted. What a tragedy if it falls on our roof or that of our neighbor’s. It is truly a wise thing to go for tree removal. In this case, removing the tree from our yard that is a few meters away from our dwelling will ensure our safety.
When You Are Going to Use the Space for Improvement
When you nowhere else to put up your garage, a tree may be compromised. You will not just park your car outside on the street. There so many vandals and thieves that roam around. The beautiful tree in front of your yard may have to go for some improvements you have to undertake in your yard.
When It Has Outgrown Its Usefulness
We plant trees in our yard for some reason. We plant fruit-bearing trees for their fruits. But when they do not produce the same sweet fruits as it had been, then they may be old to bear fresh fruits. We also plant trees to give us shade during our outdoor activities at home, but when leaves have become less and less over the years, it may be better to construct a shade than to keep it.
When it Is Infested with Some Pests
If you will not treat or remove, and infested tree, the chance of infestation of all the plants in your yard is great. To prevent that scenario, you should remove a heavily infested tree. Treating it may be unwise because pests may not be entirely annihilated, and they can propagate sooner.
When It is Damaging Your Fence
When trees are growing bigger and bigger, the roots can destabilize the foundation of structures nearby like your fence. You should prevent this from happening by removing a tree near your fence while it is still not that big.
When It Is Obstructing the View
When you cannot view your landscape anymore because a tree is blocking the view, or you cannot see clearly the street below, or your house cannot be seen from the road, you should let the tree be removed. If you have envisioned to leave in the forest, then you should have gone there. But because you are in a residential community, we should be able to view and be viewed by people around us, our neighbors.
